What is a Seiko Hommage?
Seiko modding was born from a community of enthusiasts who saw in Seiko watches a unique field of expression. Thanks to their accessibility, reliability and easy-to-modify mechanics, Seiko watches became blank canvases for creating tributes to legendary watches — such as the Rolex Submariner, the GMT Pepsi or the Milsub. This movement is above all a story of passion, where each creation is a nod to legendary watchmaking.
A Seiko mod is a custom Seiko watch, assembled from carefully chosen components to reproduce or reinterpret an iconic model. This ranges from the choice of dial to the bezel, including the crystal, hands and case. At Watch & Patina, I create each mod by hand, with an extreme attention to detail. I go further by applying manual patina techniques to certain elements to give them an authentic aged appearance, close to vintage watchmaking from the 60s to 80s. Each piece is therefore unique, designed for lovers of watchmaking history.
